Hi, I’m Haley!
I’m a passionate and driven Designer, Engineer, and Artist pursuing a BS in Product Design and an MS in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University. Some fields I’m interested in are ergonomics, food innovation, and sustainability.
I believe that design opportunities are everywhere, and they pave the way for innovative and artful solutions to the challenges we encounter. I find immense satisfaction in transforming ideas into tangible, user-centric solutions to create more thoughtful and engaging experiences.
Beyond the world of design, I am also a Division I fencer and the Women's Foil Captain of Stanford’s Varsity Fencing team. I have been fencing for over a decade now, and with 5 years of coaching experience, I have honed my skills both as an athlete and a leader. The discipline and dedication I've built through playing my sport have integrated into my design ethos, enhancing my ability to face challenges head-on and to drive collaborative efforts toward success.
Outside the machine shop or the fencing gym, I enjoy channeling my creativity through art, cooking/baking, and my newfound interest in nature photography. Beyond my creative outlets, I'm always on the lookout for hidden gems that allow me to see the world from fresh perspectives. To remind myself of the world's immense wonder and vastness, I constantly seek out unique experiences that reaffirm the beauty and diversity that surrounds us.
