THE PLUOT MENU
A pluot is a hybrid fruit that is ~70% plum and ~30% apricot.
With its mild flavor and versatility, this unfamiliar fruit was the perfect test subject for an extravagant tasting menu concept I'd come up with after my invitation to a Michelin star restaurant was rescinded. In all fairness, I didn't personally know the person with the reservation, so no hard feelings here. However, I had been primed for a lavish eating experience, so with my now-free evening, I did what any other sane person would do and made myself an 8-course tasting menu.
